#25: What to Do When Your Business Feels Like a Grind

I’m going to be honest.  A couple of years ago I went through a rough patch in my business.

I’d been in the hustle and grind for years. Working when I was exhausted, working late at night, frequent insomnia (where I would end up working in the middle of the night when I couldn’t sleep), and generally making work the priority over most other things.

Then I hit a spot in 2021 where I didn’t feel connected to my work. My soul didn’t feel connected.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to continue operating the business and I started considering other paths. 

Then a magical thing happened last year, in 2022. 

Without looking for it, I found new sources for inspiration and a shift in terms of why I want to do this work.  (Part of this shift meant I did a complete overhaul on my offerings, but that is a story for another day.) 

The result of all of this is that I ended up having the most fun and successful year in my business that I had had in a long time. 

I also produced more offerings and content than ever before. And while I was “working hard”, I did it without the hustle energy.
