How to make a profit when launching a program

This week I want to get honest about the expense of launching a program and how you can insure that you make a profit with your upcoming launches.

When launching a cleanse, detox, or any type of virtual group program, you are likely going to invest money in one or more of the following:

  • Creation of a sales page that promotes your program, where people can register
  • Having flyers or postcards designed that promote your program
  • Creation of a password protected “members page” where participants will get access to program materials and call recordings
  • Professionally designed banner to have at the top of your sales page
While there certainly are other items that you can outsource, these are some of the big pieces that you will want to have in place.

When you are planning on launching a program, I recommend that you plan for the investment of having a team support you in this way.

How can you insure that you make a profit when launching a program?

RELAUNCH

The expense of launching a program is much higher the first time around. When you hire a team to create a sales page, think of that as a long-term investment. The second time you launch a program, you will likely only need minor tweaks to your sales page.

This means you will experience a much higher profit the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time you run a program. (Plus, your materials/content will already be created, which means it will be much easier for you to deliver it the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time.)

Our client Julie Felsher just wrapped up her 21 Day Back to Body Reboot program.  While she has offered cleanses and detoxes in the past, it was her first time running this particular program.

About halfway through the program, she observed that clients were getting amazing results and decided to offer the program a second time  – just two weeks later.

My team and I simply had to change the dates on the sales page, create a new product in the shopping cart, modify the welcome email registrants receive, and create a new version of the members page.  It was done and ready for re-launch in 24 hours.

You can see why Julie’s second launch of her  21 Day Back to Body Reboot program will be much more profitable than her first launch.

When thinking about your calendar for the year, make a plan to re-launch one of your programs at least once during the year.  This will not only increase your profits, but it will also increase your efficiency.

Warmly,
Amy
